About Uwe Fehrmann
Uwe Fehrmann wurde 1962 in Ost-Berlin, in der ehemaligen DDR, geboren. Bereits seine frühe Kindheit war geprägt durch intensives Malen und Zeichnen. In seiner Jugend wurde er im „Otto-Nagel-Haus" in Akt und Stillleben, sowie in verschiedenen Mal- und Zeichentechniken ausgebildet. Wenig später war er Mitglied einer Künstlergruppe in Berlin-Pankow, absolvierte ein Praktikum als Restaurator in der Nationalgalerie Berlin und arbeitete als Ausstellungsassistent. Nach dem Abitur studierte Uwe Fehrmann an der „Humboldt-Universität" in Berlin. Um der Unfreiheit und Zensur in der DDR zu entkommen, flüchtete er 1984 über die deutsche Botschaft in Prag in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland. 1985 - 1986 arbeitete Uwe Fehrmann als bildender...
